Blog Entry: Issues and Resolutions in the filmmaking

The issues we had while trying to make our film were that whenever we were filming it would always become dark out so quickly so it didn’t give us a lot of time to produce the clips we wanted to. It was hard to find the right time to do because everyone had a different schedule so we would always film pretty late. Eventually we all decided to go early in the afternoon to have more daylight to film. Another issue we had that we overcame was the type of iphone camera we would use. The one that we were filming with was running out of storage quickly and didn’t allow us to save the clips we wanted. All of us then decided it would be easier to just use whoever’s phone is the most up to date one and had the best video quality. It was still difficult for us to share the video clips to one another because of how many clips there were so everything was very slow to load. To save time, we put all the clips together in an icloud link that way we could save space and it would be able to load ...

BE: Plot & Story

Discuss how you created the "story" of the video you created. This is the post production thoughts, so it could be different than when you did your treatment. Discuss what changed from the treatment to the actual final video. Describe the "story" of your video and what it represents. Summary of the video content. How we created the story of the video we made is we first came up with horror related ideas that we could tie in to our video. We thought of several horror ideas and eliminated which ones we could physically film. Eventually we decided with the idea that we wanted to do an infected vicious chimpanzee that goes mentally insane. What changed from the treatment to the actual video was that instead of making it take place inside a lab we decided to film the entire video outside in the woods. There were also some scenes we had to redo from the treatment to make it more realistic. For example in the treatment we wrote that the chimp was smart enough to to frame t...
