Ways of Media Convergence

 Media Convergence is the process of all technologies merged to create all the contents that make up a piece of technology. It is made up of five different categories that involve Media Convergence which includes technological, industrial, social, textual, and political. Technological convergence occurred as a result of digital computers and online internet. This was caused because as the world evolved and became more modern, so has its way of communicating. Everything is now shared through social media platforms instead of newspapers and tv that have gotten less popular. Media Convergence can now be used to display your work, express yourself, speak your opinion, document yourself, and communicate with others virtually. Examples of Media Convergence I have used in my life are through school and posting on social media. School in 2022 has now relied on the internet for a more learning way that has become easier for students and teachers to communicate online. Ever since covid I use my computer to get my assignments done. For example, whenever my teacher would assign a discussion, it involves students answering a question and later having everyone respond to each other's comments and stating their opinions in a respect way. This is a perfect example of Media Convergence as it includes all of these aspects to exemplify the new modern ways of life and how advanced technology has become. Social media is another example of Media Convergence as I would post online on my story either to promote something for my school or advertise whenever there is an event students should attend. This shows how I use the internet to spread the word and communicate faster in the matter of seconds.
