Intro to Premiere Pro

What I've learned so far in Premiere Pro is downloading the files and how to extract different ones after you save them. After this step you go and open the Premiere Pro software and open the project you want to go to. You do this by clicking on file and pressing the open project option. Once the project is opened, you can see it located in the clips section and see if there are any clips you want to add or so. You do this by dragging the clips into the Timeline panel. You can also import the media by using the Media Browser panel to browse and import media files. Double-click the video to preview it in the Source monitor. To import media files, select the media files, right-click and select import. You can also change the audio adjustments by changing the volume of an audio clip in the Audio Clip Mixer panel. Choose Window > Audio Clip Mixer to display the panel. You can use the Mute and Solo buttons to selectively listen to audio tracks. Mute mutes the selected track. Solo pl...

Mise en Scene: Lighting and Framing

Image
  1.   Lighting   helps   set   the   scene   as   it   helps   set   the   mood,   tone,   or   theme.   This   also   changes   while   something   is   being   filmed. An example that shows how lighting is integral to the scene is how in this scene of "The Joker" you see how the dark drastic lighting highlights the joker with a more sinister look that builds on to his character.  2.   Framing is the method of filming or creating a film or show using realistic features that relate to the real world, and a frame is the concept of the real world set into the film that captures the moment that allows to tell the story. An example of framing is this scene in Criminal Minds, the frame is this two shot of two forensic analysists gathering evidence which helps tell us more about the story.

Mise en scene in film is all the elements of filming combined in one scene which includes: makeup, set design, costumes, color, blocking, sound, music, props, framing, and lenses. These elements are what make up a scene overall. Anything in a scene can be considered Mise en scene because it is what it used to create the film. Mise en scene also involves the basics that make up a film which include actors and the scenery as well. It is important to the telling of the story because it is generated of all the main factors that are used to produce a film, and those factors are what tell the story. For example, a c haracter's costume can help tell the story of the scene by having a very distinct outfit that can say a lot about the character's personality and what kind of world they live in. This gives the audience a hint of what the story will be about based off these clues. 1. Location can make or break a scene as its location can define how confidential or important a scene is. It...
