Video Clip Week 6 Progress

https://youtu.be/0iHrwzFC0p8 What we have accomplished since last week is we were able to come earlier before the sunset hit when we learned that we needed to film before it became dark. Some of the issues we had when filming was that it was very hard to not get the fake blood on all of us when it only needed to be on specific people, so it was difficult trying to stay clean. Next week we’re gonna try and start editing the credits for our intro since we’ve made a lot of progress.

Video Clip Week 5 Progress

https://youtu.be/Sqr1i16gvbs  Some of the issues we had when filming was that it started getting dark really quick, so we decided next week when we start filming again to go earlier before the sun goes down so we can have more sunlight to film and bring anymore props that we need for our next scene.

Blog Post Week 4 progress

Some of the issues we encountered when filming was that we weren't sure what exactly we were going to wear for our shoot. We decided to go with something simple and wear white t-shirts to represent lab coats as if we were scientists in a lab. https://youtu.be/76Ya5uCNxD0

Blog Entry: Audience Engagement 1: Media Context Question

  1. Some of the different media platforms used by the company from my case study were social medias like TikTok and Instagram to advertise for upcoming films or media in the making. This includes billboards to advertise for Stranger Things new season and any upcoming products related to it. 2. The media platforms were used in those following areas due to media convergence, these platforms allowed viewers to be aware of the new upcoming Stranger Things related media. For example, Stranger Things made multiple appearances and features on horror games like Dead by Deadlight where few of the characters like the Demogorgon as the killer and survivors like Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington. Numerous podcasts were also created regarding Stranger Things where fun and insightful looks into the upside-down world of Stranger Things. Episodes include meme of the week, news and rumors, quote of the week, episode discussion, and more. Stranger Things has also been converted into several board ...

Film Editing Straight Cut Transition Blog Entry

A Straight Cut Transition is the most basic transition to move to the next shot of the same scene. A transition from one take to another with no effect. A straight cut is the basis of a continuous edit, ensuring that the film remains consistent throughout its run. This transition is used in film editing because straight cuts can create destructive connections between moments in a scene, form the basis of montages, or provide a connecting thread to maintain the 180-degree rule. The straight cut transition compares to the Jump Cut and Dissolve transitions as straight cuts are more smoother than jump cuts as they jump from one scene to another very quickly making it seem more choppy. Dissolve transitions fade from one scene to another to indicate time has passed, while straight cuts are used to indicate a relation to something in the film.

Film Editing Transitions Blog Entry

Film transitions are different kinds of transitional swipes that help the scene flow easier by transitioning to the next scene. This allows the film to be more enhanced as it plays a huge role on how much transitions can effect a scene. Transitions are used in film editing because when jumping from scene to scene, or even between cuts in a movie, the way the transition is made makes the scene successful or interrupted. Theoretically, transitions convey the passage of time, character movement, pauses, story developments, and stillness. They make up the movie from the first shot to the last shot. There are several common shapes such as wipes, dissolves and split cuts.

Blog Post Week 3

https://youtu.be/bRtwse2teww   This video clip will be the credentials for our intro once we edit it with the texts. Our shot list is the same as last weeks as there was nothing new we needed to add, but if we decide to make any changes to it, we will resubmit it. Some of the issues we have encountered were when we had several ideas that we wanted to film, but some of the ideas weren't possible to film so we had to compromise and come up with similar ways that allows it for us to be easier to film.
