 Film editing is made up of many characteristics that make a movie. It consists of scene transitions, voice overs, special effects, different background settings, and sound effects. This is only some out of the many effects that create a film. Film editing is made by a film editor, what film editor does is review material like scripts, shot lists, sketches, and discussion with the film director. They also sort pre-editing footage to select footage for post-production, montage cuts, and rough cuts. To add on, film editors synchronize uncut videos with audio as well as work with other editors to produce soundtracks. Film editing takes a whole process to go through in order to create the film. The importance of discussing and planning the pre production is very crucial when filming. This allows t he group to understand the idea of what is going to be filmed and helps generate the shots that want to be used. It also prevents any confusion that could cause disorganization and instead, the planning allows the filming part to run more smoothly. Pre-production also helps identify if anything wants to be removed or added for the video to be made overall better.
